Biography |
Cantave Casseus was born in Port-au-prince Haiti . At the age of seven, He started painting on a piece of hardboard. At the time he lived and grew up on the Caribbean Island, he experienced the natural beauty of the Island and started to bring this natural beauty to the world through his painting. Cantave‘s dream was to provide a forum for his artwork and dedicated his artistic talents to helping the deprived children of Haiti.
This dream was officially launched in 1993 with a press conference and a National art show. Cantave Casseus created and supported works in various domains yet remains focused on styles that reflect an abstract Island style, primitive and village life. Although the number of artists working in abstract art in this last decade has decreased, Cantave‘s dream has flourished. Support for these efforts comes from galleries and individuals all over the world.
In 1997 Cantave started to volunteer his time doing workshops in many elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, schools for juvenile delinquents, and several clubs and associations.
After Graduating High school, In Port-au-Prince Haiti, in 1994 Cantave moved to Mobile, Alabama. Then two months later, in December 1994 he moved to Fort Myers, Florida in search of a way of promoting his artworks and continuing his artistic career. In May 1995, Cantave began to show his artwork through an art agent in Fort Myers, Florida. |
